Hi and welcome!
My name is Melinda Lamarche, I’m a Registered Dietitian (RD) living in Toronto with my husband and four children. I love meeting with families to help make the science of nutrition less complicated and help parents keep the peace when it comes to feeding. Raising and feeding kids is a challenge for anyone, I’d love to help set you up for success in the kitchen and at the table by giving you the building blocks for raising healthy and happy eaters.
I’ve been an RD since 2006 after graduating with a Bachelor in Applied Sciences degree from Ryerson University in Toronto and completing my internship at the University Health Network. I also hold a Masters of Science degree in Community Health from the University of Toronto. I have always had a passion for creating recipes and yummy food and this motivated me to pursue culinary training in 2015. I haven’t always been a pediatric dietitian but after having my own children and facing the realities and struggles parents encounter when feeding kids of all ages, my interests and career path changed. I enjoy bringing the world of nutritional science and my love of food together to help parents make nutrition and healthy eating less complicated. I’d like to help relieve the stress daily feeding struggles bring to the table.
My goal is to give families the building blocks to raise healthy and happy eaters. I can help you and your family stop the food fights, create healthy relationships with food, navigate picky eating and understand your kid’s nutrition. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s eating, as it relates to picky eating, growth and development, food allergies, a specific medical condition or you just have an interest in your family’s health and nutrition, I’d love to connect with you.
